Astonishment and The Twins

1984–1987
Theater

About the Production

A combination of Midsummer Night's Dream, a Grimms’ fairy tale and Looney Tunes, this theatrical parable features a multi-lingual Mother Nature a la Beatrice Lillie, a pair of twins and a swift-talking lounge lizard dealing in the primest of real estate, the Garden of Eden. Featuring aspects of mime and an original musical score, the play transports audiences beyond its Biblical origin to a distinctly different view of Paradise.
