About the Production

Truth and Beauty (originally American Gothic) is a multi-media exploration of the American psyche in an advertising, marketing and gun obsessed age. The piece incorporates live and recorded video and slide projections and is performed inside of a three sided Plexiglas box. It incorporates interviews with gun owners, advertising content and a subplot about an alienated youth on his way to becoming a homegrown terrorist. Since its premiere, Truth and Beauty has been independently produced in New York, California, Massachusetts and Nevada.
