ABOUT
Inside/Out…voices from the disability community explores the first-hand experiences of individuals with a variety of disabilities. Individual histories are interwoven into a script that is performed by the participants themselves, giving voice to individuals whose stories frequently go unheard.
Inside/Out was one of three Undesirable Elements performances presented at the Undesirable Elements Festival, October 18 – November 4, 2012 at La MaMa’s Ellen Stewart Theatre.

IMPACT
I thought the show was remarkable- understated, sleek and then the layering of what was revealed hits you: how much more you know when the last lines land, about these people, about abilities/disabilities. - e-mail from audience member
It was so interesting to hear everyone's story. I am sure it will help some non-disabled people to better understand the struggles that we face every day. Sometimes we don't appreciate what we have until it is gone. - e-mail from audience member
That's the kind of piece that really should be showcased as a diplomatic tool, particularly internationally. The arts in the US gets so much flack having lost its ability to tell personal stories. . . but Inside/Out would be the perfect way to feature storytelling at its most poignant and effective. - e-mail from audience member
